WPTS Radio Summer Program

The WPTS Radio Summer Program is an unprecedented opportunity for Pittsburgh area high school students to get practical experience in the broadcast industry.

Through a combination of classroom-style learning and hands-on training, students in the WPTS Radio Summer Program learn a different aspect of the radio industry each week.

Then, they get to demonstrate their new-found skills as they work in teams to produce a twice-weekly, hour-long program, broadcast live on WPTS.

The camp meets Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, from June 24 through July 31, at the WPTS studios on the University of Pittsburgh campus in Oakland.

The WPTS Radio Summer Program was created with the support of a grant from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters.
